Today’s car is a 1972 Bristol 411, Series 2, 2 door coupe owned by Asher Edwards. It is finished in Bristol Blue with a Slate Grey and Blue Leather interior. I saw this car at The Queen’s English all British Car Show in Woodley Park in Van Nuys, CA. It is powered by a Chrysler 383 cu in, 6.27 liter, V8, with Carter 4-bbl carburetor, producing 340 hp. Transferring that power to the rear wheels through a Chrysler TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission and delivering that power to the rear wheels through 3.07:1 rear end with a limited slip differential. Helping slow this baby down are disc brakes all around. The front suspension is independent with coil springs and in the rear are torsion bars, with a De Dion axle. The car has self-leveling suspension.
This car is know as British Muscle! The Bristol 411’s were produced from 1969 – 1976 with a total of 287 Produced. The 0 to 60 mph time was 7 seconds with a top speed of 143 mph. This cars is rare and represent another beautiful example of a hand-built luxury automobiles. It is sure to draw attention and any car event it attends. Thanks for riding along. Frank
