Today’s car is a 2021 Ferrari Monza SP2 introduced in the 2019 model year. This marks the start of a limited series production called the “Icona” series. The first car of the new lineage is the Monza, SP1 (single seater) and SP2 (two seater), which design is inspired by the 750 Monza, 166 MM, and Testarossa.
This roadster is finished in Black with a Red horizontal strip crossed the hood and matching color combination on the drivers head fairing. The driver orientated interior is finished in Red leather with black and carbon fiber accents. It is designed with a virtual wind shield that diverts airflow away from occupants. It is powered by a 396.4 cu in, 6.5 liter, DOHC v12 engine producing 809 hp and transferring that power through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Slowing this baby down are carbon ceramic ventilated discs brakes. The alloy wheels are 21-inch in the front and 20-inch in the rear have a gunmetal finish. The independent front suspension is unequal-length control arms and it the rear is independent multi link. The top speed is report to be 186 mph and acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds. The original MSRP was $2,590,000 The total number of the Ferrari Monza’s to be produced is estimated to be less than 500 cars and they are all spoken for.
Wow, This car can draw a crowd! The Monza SP2 is is now street legal. What a great car for a spirited run through the canyons and showing it off at Cars and Coffee or any other car gathering.
