1927 Ford Model T Coupe

Last updated on September 9, 2021

Today’s car is a Customized 1927 Ford Model T Coupe. It is finished in Screamin’ Green with a Cream White interior with Gold trim and a matching Vinyl top. The owners of this car are Gabriel & Rose Baltierra. I saw this car at the Reunion Show at the Zimmerman ADM in El Segundo. It is powered by a early Chevy V8 with 6 Stromberg 97 carburetors. It transfers that power through GM 3 – speed automatic transmission and a Ford 9 inch rear end. Helping slow this baby down are early Ford hydraulic brakes. Suspension is a pair of transversely mounted semi-elliptical springs for both front and rear axles. The front axle appears to be an original forged I-Beam axle with wishbone style radius rods.

The original MSRP was $360.00. Ford said the last 1927 Model T produced was the 15 millionth vehicle. The total number of 1927 Model T’s produced was 399,725 of which 66,024 were coupes. The low production numbers in 1927 were attributed to shutting down early to retool for the new Model A’s.

This is a great custom Model T. The color makes it stand out and it is just a very nice old school Hot Rod. Thanks for riding along. Frank
