After not having power for 29 hours it is great having it back.
Todays car was a mystery. I had enlist a Studebaker expert to help unravel this mystery. Most of you know Joe Zeiger or to some of you Mr. Avanti.
The car appears to be a blend of a 1962 – 1963 Studebaker Lark (firewall back) and the front end of 1966 Studebaker Crusier. The color is Golden Sand. Would not be one of my favorites.
Information from Joe. After making some 1964 models in South Bend, on Dec 31 1963 Studebaker Shutdown the factory. They kept their factory in Ontario Canada where they produce cars for 2 more years 65 and 66. Although, I don’t think they use the term Lark the Crusier was a continuation of that Line. The body style changed a bit but, Lark frame remained. Most had duel headlights like the 63 and 64s that were built in US. The 1965 and 1966 Studebaker Cruiser all had Chevy engines. However the 1966 Cruiser models had single headlights.
