Todays car is a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window Coupe and it is finished in Ermine White with a Red interior. It is powered by a 327 cu in, 5.36 liter V8 engines producing 250 hp and transferring that power through a 4 speed manual transmission. Delivering that power to the 6.70 x 15″ whitewall tires through a 3.70 t0 1 rear end gear ratio. This was the first time Corvette used the “Sting Ray” moniker. This newcomer, the exciting Sports Coupe was introduced this year. Power-operated retractable headlamps that rotate out of sight to blend into the hood line. The base price for 1963 Corvette coupe was $4,257.00. You could get a fully loaded C2 corvette for about $5,500.00. There were a total of 21,513 units built and of those 10,594 were sport coupes. When whitewall tires were ordered the wheels were painted black, when blackwall tires were ordered the wheels were painted body color, except for the body color white in which they would be paint black.
This is a very nice looking restored 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe. This is the most sought after C2 model.
Thanks for riding along.
