Today’s car is a MG MGA that I took a picture of back in March 8th, 2014. This one looks to be done in Orient Red with a red interior. The white top looks to be out of character since I have never seen a 2 tone MGA coupe before. That said this one looks to be mildly customized with the bumpers removed. I like that look. It seems to stream line the body.
The MGA is a was produced by MG from 1955 to 1962. The 1500 cc engine fitted with twin H4 type SU Carburetors produced 68 hp at first, but was soon uprated to 72 hp. Lockheed hydraulic drum brakes were used on all wheels. An early open car tested by British magazine The Motor in 1955 had a top speed of 97.8 mph and could accelerate from 0–60 mph in 16.0 seconds.
