Today’s car is a 1935 Ford Deluxe 4 door sedan owned by Jim Marian0. I photographed this car at Pat Aust’s 18 Annual Redondo Pier Rods, Rides, and Relics Car Show. The car is finished in 1967 Jaguar British Racing Green with a warm saddle interior. It is powered by a 650 hp, 6.2 liter, super charged fuel injected small block Chevrolet V8 engine that is mated to a General Motors 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmissions with Ford 9″ rear axle with 3.70:1 gear ratio. The car is equipped with Kugel independent front and rear suspension with control arms and coil-overs . Slowing this beauty down are Wilwood disc brakes in all 4-corners.
The total 0f 1935 Fords produced were 820,253 units with 786,730 of them being flat head V8s of which 6073 were Deluxe 4 door sedans. The MSRP was $655.00. Jim won the coveted Mike Ludwig Trophy at the 28th Annual Wrightwood Classic Car Show this year . This is a beautiful Restomod project that took 10 years. What a great car to take to hot Rod car shows, Cars & Coffee events, or just cruising around town. Thank you for riding along. Frank
