Today’s car is a 1991 Toyota Century Luxury Sedan. I saw this car at The Zimmerman Automobile Driving Museum for the Classic JDM at the ADM in El Segundo, CA. It is owned by Glenn Gibbons. The Century is a rare in America, because it was never sold here, there maybe two dozen examples to be found within our borders. With limited production, handbuilt construction and an accompanying $100,000 list price, the Century was regarded as the Rolls-Royce of Toyotas.
It is finished in kamui Eternal Black with a Black color interior. It is powered by a 243.7 cu in, 4.0 liter V8, engine producing 165 hp and paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Slowing it down are power 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS. It has electronically controlled suspension. Options include AM/FM CD with rear cassette deck, Front and rear air conditioning, Rear messaging seats, power seats, power windows, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, and cruise control.
While this car is not your usual car show or cars and coffee fair. It is unique, rare, and has a cool factor. Thanks for traveling along. Frank
