Todays car is a 1975 Jaguar XJ6C 2 door coupe and it is finished in Regency Red with a Biscuit interior and Black Vinyl top. I saw this car at Silver Spur Breakfast Meeting which meets the first Saturday of the month on the lower level. It is powered by a 258.4 cu i, 4.2 liter, 24 DOHC (4 valves per cylinder) in-line 6 cylinder engine producing 176 hp and transferring that power through a 3 speed automatic transmission. Delivering that power to the rear wheels through 3.31 t0 1 gear ratio with locker option. A nice set of aftermarket spoke wheels help dress the car up. Helping slow it down are factory disc brakes all around. The original MSRP was $13,750.00. The total number of 1975 XJ6C produced was 6,541 of which approximatly 3,899 were left hand drive. The factory estimated top speed 122 mph and 0 – 60 mph time is 8.7 seconds.
I always like the looks of the coupes. I would get rid of the black bumpers and put on a set of the proper European chrome bumpers. Very clean car in great condition. They also handle very well. Thanks for riding along. Frank
