Today’s car is a 1974 Chevrolet Corvette T-Top Sport Coupe. This is a street spot that I stumbled across on one of my walks in the hood. The transition to body color urethane bumpers was completed in 1974. The car is finished in Corvette Medium Blue with a Black interior. It is powered by a 350 cu in, 5.7 liter V8, with Rochester 4 bbl Quadra Jet (Q-Jet) carburetor, producing 195 hp. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic (TH400) automatic transmission. Delivering that power to the rear wheels through 3.08 to 1 gear ratio. Slowing it down are disc brakes all around. Suspension is independent with coil springs up front and independent with a mono-leaf spring in the rear with gas charged shock all around. The original MSRP was $6,001.50. The total number of 1974 Corvettes produced was 37,502 of which 32,028 were T-Top Sport Coupes.
This car looks original and needs some TLC, but is a great daily driver as it is. Thanks for riding along. Frank
