Today’s car is a 1971 Ford LTD Brougham and was owned by the passengers mother. This is a street spot that I saw on the streets in Santa Ynez. It is finished in Morning Gold with a Green Vinyl top and a Grabber Green interior. I am taking a stab at this, but I think It is powered by a 390 cu in, V8, with a 2 bbl carburetor producing 255 hp. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission and delivering that power to the rear wheels through 3.25;1 rear end. Helping slow this baby down are dual master cyclinder hydraulic 11 inch composite drum brakes all around. The original MSRP was $4,097.00. The total number of 1971 Ford LTD Brougham 2-doors produced was 44,303.
