Today’s car is a Numbers matching 1967 Corvette Convertible owned by Ian Gittins. It is finished in Silver Pearl with a Black Vinyl interior and a Black convertible top. It is powered by a 327 cu in V8 engine producing 350hp and transferring that power through a 4 speed Muncie manual transmission. Delivering that power to the rear wheels through 3.08 to 1 rear end gear ratio. Helping slow this baby down are power disc brakes. The front suspension is unequal-length control arms with ball joints and in the rear is an independent suspension with a transverse-mounted rear spring.
The original MSRP for a base convertible was $4,240.00. The total number of 1967 Corvettes produced was 22,940 of which 14,436 were convertibles, and the total number of 327cu in – 350 hp were 6,375. This car is a beautiful example of a numbers matching Corvette. I Can’t help smiling when I see Ian cruising up and down the coast and at Coffee and Cars. Thanks for riding along. Frank
