Today’s car is a 1966 Plymouth Fury III done in White with a Medium Red interior. While having lunch at the Richmond Bar and Grill in El Segundo, Rod pulled up in what use to be his grandfathers car, originally from Washington state, handed down to him through the family. This is an original survivor with a couple of spots that has been touched up due to a couple minor fender benders. The current odometer reading is 52,821.1. The engine is the original 318 cu in with a Carter 2 barrel carburator developing 230 HP. Transferring the power to the rear wheels through a 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. This car is optioned with power steering and power brakes. Paul has the original owners manual with entries in the owner’s records section under required maintenance services filled out by his grandfather. In 1966 there were 687,514 Plymouths produced, 146,547 were Fury III, and 41,869 were 2 door hardtop coupes.
This is a very nice original car with some great family history!
Thanks for riding along. Frank
