Today’s car is a 1963 Porsche 356 B Super 90 owned by Carol Madonna who has owned this beautiful car for 30 years. Carol completed the restoration in 2020. It is finished in Ocean Blue Metallic with a Black interior. It is powered by a air cooled numbers matching 96.6 cu in, 1.58 liter, flat-four, with 2 Solex 40 2-bbl carburetors, producing 90 hp. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle transmission with 4.43 to 1 final gear ratio. Slowing this beauty down are 11 inch drum brakes that are more than capable. The suspension is Independent torsion bars both front and rear. The wheels are 15” chrome ventilated steel wheels and hubcaps.
The original MSRP was $4,408.oo. The 0 – 60 mph 11.7 seconds with a top speed of 111mph. The total number of 1948 – 1965 Porsche 356’s produced was 76,000 of which 30,963 were 1959 – 1965 of 356’s just around 50 percent of all 356’s have survived to this date.
