Today’s car is the forth car in the Frankel Collection. It is a 1930 Pierce Arrow 840 A Model B Sedan done in two-tone maroon and black with gold coach stripes. The black vinyl top with chrome decorative landau irons. This car joined Al’s collection in 1950. Powered by Pierce-Arrow’s 125-horsepower L-head straight eight engine 366 cu in. and transferring that power through a 3 – speed manual transmission. The Frankels initiated a complete, nut-and-bolt restoration with Jim Livings in Tucson, Arizona. Sadly, that he would not see it restoration to fruition. It was offered with the coachwork, chassis, suspension, and drivetrain are restored and reassembled to a high standard, leaving only the interior upholstery to be completed. This is a very striking car with a great color combination. This would be a very nice car for Saturday and Sunday Cars and Brunch! This was the last car in their collection that would restore. There are 2 more cars in this collection see you tomorrow for car number 5. The asking price was $29,500. In todays market is it a bargain or not?
Thanks for riding along. Frank
