Today’s car is the second car in the Frankel Collection. It is a 1930 Duesenberg J Murphy Convertible Sedan. Featuring a original Murphy coachwork. This is a one off and on of the last of Model J-190. It is powered by 7L (420 cu in) DOHC straight 8 rated at 260 HP with a 3 speed Transmission. This was the Center piece of the Frankel’s car collection and a survivor original car. I think a couple of fenders were repainted, but that is it. They bought it in 1954 for $553.00. Al drove it to work at Hughs Aircraft. And from what I understand it sold for just under $1 million dollars. Another great and rare car. There are 3 more cars in this collection see you tomorrow for car number 3.
Thanks for riding along. Frank
